WormGPT is a 2021 open model trained on malware data and sold on a hacking forum for 60 euros a month. The scary demo comes from SlashNext, an email security vendor that sells protection against exactly this kind of phishing. One buyer already complained it is “not worth any dime.” The real threat here is a better-spelled business email scam, and a vendor happy to market it.
