Network engineers used Macs for Wi-Fi captures because they just worked. The M1 broke channel switching, so captures land on the wrong channel. The same developer reported scanning bugs to Apple in 2018 and waited over a year for some of the fixes. Apple’s pro users keep finding out they are not the customers Apple builds for.
