“I’m concerned about the longevity of the domains I register.”
A fully working .cyou domain costs about £23 for ten years. The £13 .feedback option locks you into the registrar’s hosting with no custom nameservers or MX records. Ten years is the cap almost everywhere. You never own a domain. You rent it, and the landlord sets next decade’s price.
