“What3Words say the odds are “1 in 2.5 million” – but they seem to be under 1 in 100 in cities in the UK.”
What3Words sells itself to ambulance services. A misheard plural sends the crew to a square a few kilometers away, close enough that nobody spots the mistake. The company’s own patent explains why. Its odds are off by a factor of 25,000 in exactly the places people call for help.
