“He believed the victim was a werewolf who wanted to kill him.”
Jose Manuel Perez put his lunch companion in a chokehold in Salt Lake City and produced a wooden stake with a nail in it, threatening to pierce his heart. After fleeing with the victim’s backpack, police found Perez had filled his pockets with rocks. He was charged with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony in Utah. The victim, notably, was not a werewolf.
