pyca/cryptography added Rust and broke builds on Alpha, HPPA and other hobby platforms. The packagers blamed the maintainers. Nobody ever tested the C code on those chips either. It compiled, so everyone assumed it worked. Volunteers owe no support to architectures nobody pays for.
