Cariad left location logs for over 800,000 VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda EVs on an open Amazon cloud server for months. Names, emails, phone numbers and parking spots for politicians and 35 Hamburg police cars were all there. Cariad calls the data pseudonymized and says no third party got in. A parking log tied to a name and phone number is not anonymous, and the Chaos Computer Club got in before Cariad noticed.
