Voice.ai statically links GPLv3 Praat code and LGPL libgcrypt into VoiceAILib.dll, then forbids users from decompiling it. A user emailed on February 2 asking for the source the GPL requires. Two days later he was banned for “ToS violations.” The obfuscated client ships your hostname and MAC address to its servers and, users report, checks for virtual machines. All to protect secrets the license says it isn’t allowed to keep.
