Visual Studio 2022 gave the Mac version a native UI, Apple Silicon support and 64-bit for the first time. One year later Microsoft is killing it, with support ending August 2024. The suggested replacement is preview-grade extensions for VS Code or a Windows VM. Anyone who bet a Mac team on Microsoft’s tooling just learned how long that bet lasts.
