“Unity itself, both the Editor and the runtime (which means your shipped game) is already using LGPL dependencies!”

Unity banned the VLC for Unity publisher from its Asset Store over LGPL code. Unity’s own editor and runtime ship LGPL libraries like libiconv and Lame. Other store assets bundle FFmpeg without trouble. The rule only applies to whoever gets reported, and Unity wouldn’t reinstate them even after they offered to drop the LGPL code.
