“The Unity Runtime Fee will no longer apply to games built on Unity Personal.”
The first plan charged up to $.20 per install, even on games built under older terms. The new one takes 2.5 percent of revenue or a per-user fee, whichever is less, and only from the next LTS version in 2024. None of it undoes the quiet EULA edit that deleted Unity’s pledge to keep developers on the terms of the version they use. A company that rewrote the rules once has already shown what its apology is worth.
