Ubisoft shut The Crew’s servers in April, then reached into Ubisoft Connect libraries and revoked the licence people paid for. Launch it from the install folder and you get a demo. Fans say an offline mode already sits in the game files, locked behind DRM. Ubisoft sold a game, took it back, and pointed the customer at the store to buy another.
