Twitter hasn’t explained it. Either it’s another glitch or a way to force lurkers into accounts and pad user numbers. Musk has also complained that Microsoft “trained illegally using Twitter data.” Hiding every tweet from search engines to stop AI scrapers means Google sends fewer people too.
