“Just ~$100/month for API access with ID verification will clean things up greatly.”

Twitter gave developers about a week of notice before free API access ends on Feb. 9. Musk sells the paywall as a bot crackdown. Bot farms running 100,000 accounts can afford $100 a month. The hobbyist running TweetDelete or a weather alert bot can’t, and Tweetbot and Twitterrific already got locked out. This is about recouping $44 billion, not cleaning anything up.
