A high school kid read public court records and wrote up what he found. The administration responded with accuracy complaints and legal worry, which is the standard move when the reporting is correct and inconvenient. Nobody would be checking a student paper’s sourcing this hard if the names in those files were from another town. The records were already public. That is the part the adults keep skipping.
