The Teamsters made Amazon their top priority and timed the announcement for Prime Day. Amazon has kept unions out since 1994 and crushed the Bessemer vote this spring with hired consultants. The Teamsters say they won’t rely on NLRB elections, the route that just failed. A fully funded national division is the first real attempt to fight Amazon at its own scale.
