Mozilla declares open weights won, and the capability numbers back it up. Then the buried stat: only 51% of open-model teams reach production versus 63% for closed. The gap is not the model. It is tooling and trust, which is a polite way of saying half the teams that pick open weights still cannot ship them. Parity on the benchmark does not pay the operations bill.
