Apple built the plumbing to replace its own assistant and then shipped only ChatGPT. The EU’s Digital Markets Act forced the openness, not any change of heart in Cupertino. Code in a framework is not a feature. Expect it to stay switched off everywhere a regulator isn’t watching.
