Supervisor Aaron Peskin wrote a line banning robots from being used as force against any person. The police struck it and wrote in deadly force instead. SFPD has 17 robots, 12 working, and says it has never used one to attack anybody. Then why fight so hard for permission? A state law meant to rein in military gear just produced a license for killer robots.
