“Saul Kripke, one of the most influential analytic philosophers of the 20th Century, has died.”
Kripke died on September 15. Naming and Necessity came from three lectures at Princeton in 1970. He ended his career as a professor of philosophy and computer science at CUNY. Every modal logic course and every model checker still runs on Kripke structures.
