The “Report Junk” button sends your complaint to Apple, Google or your own carrier. None of them can shut off the spammer. The carrier routing the number can, and a free Twilio or Plivo lookup tells you which one it is. Your phone ships with the button that goes nowhere, and the one that works is buried in a carrier abuse inbox.
