“This shows that outgoing CEO Katherine Maher was paid a severance package of US$623,286 in 2021 – slightly more than one-and-a-half times her base compensation in her last full year at the Wikimedia Foundation.”
Katherine Maher took $623,286 in severance on top of salary. COO Janeen Uzzell got $324,748 after less than two and a half years. The old record was $262,500. The new policy caps severance at nine months, except when the CEO approves an exception. Wikipedia donations pay for every dollar of it.
