“It really is amazing to see so many people out there still using Pebbles.”
Pebble died in 2016 when Fitbit bought the corpse. Six years later Rebble counts more than 24,000 users, about 16,000 with watches connected. The Android app just got its first update in four years. Volunteers keep a dead product running better than most companies keep a live one. The watch never needed a subscription, which is probably why people won’t let it go.
