“I was pressured to write a statement that I didn’t give you permission to be filmed,”
Josh Cahill posted a bad review of an economy flight from Colombo to Doha. Qatar Airways offered him a free flight to delete it, then asked him to delete comments from its own staff about working conditions. When he refused, it cancelled his booking and cited a filming rule it never enforces on flattering reviewers. Then it leaned on a flight attendant to sign a statement she says was false, and used it in a takedown demand to YouTube. Sources tell Cahill the whole crew got fired. The airline couldn’t kill the review, so it went after the people who served him.
