Rhodes walks the Gang of Four patterns one at a time and keeps reaching for a Pythonic replacement. The Abstract Factory becomes a callable. The Factory Method gets dodged with dependency injection or a class attribute. Plenty of those patterns were workarounds for languages without first-class functions. If your Python code has an AbstractFactoryBuilder, you brought Java habits to the wrong language.
