PRQL writes queries as a pipeline that reads top to bottom, then compiles down to plain SQL. That fixes SQL’s backwards clause order and its habit of making you repeat yourself. Plenty of SQL replacements have come and gone. SQL is fifty years old because every database already speaks it, and a better syntax does not change that.
