“For at least half a year, the official software supplied with Procolored printers included malware in the form of a remote access trojan and a cryptocurrency stealer.”
Procolored shipped malware with its printer drivers for at least six months, including a crypto stealer whose wallet took in close to $1 million. It first blamed false positives. Then it admitted uploading files from a USB drive that may have been infected. Its printers cost up to $7,000.
