C++ use in the Stack Overflow survey slipped from 24.3 to 22.5 percent, and only 48 percent of its users say they love it. Rust scores 87 percent on that question, and fewer than one in ten developers actually uses it. Banks still run their trading systems on it and act surprised the people who know it cost money. A drought usually means the price is too low.
