A plane can’t catch a rabbit, refuel itself or lay an egg, so birds are safe. Swap planes for AI and birds for people, and you have every “AI will never replace programmers” essay ever written. Parts of it were written by GPT-3, which makes the joke land harder. The goalposts are made of the same stuff in both arguments.
