“Lena Evans, one of the plaintiffs who’d been a PayPal user for 22 years, said the website seized $26,984 from her account six months after it got frozen without ever telling her why.”
Another plaintiff lost over $42,000 and got three different excuses from three reps. A third lost $172,000. PayPal freezes the money for six months and then keeps it as “liquidated damages.” A bank that did this would face regulators, but PayPal just points to the user agreement.
