Oxide built its rack on illumos, the open fork of Solaris that Oracle killed in 2010. The repo is public, but several of the consolidations it builds from are flagged as not yet public. Open source with an asterisk is a sales pitch. Buyers get a Solaris descendant with one vendor behind it.
