The Olympics banned forever chemicals in ski wax because wax techs were getting poisoned in poorly ventilated rooms. Took them until 2023 to care about workers inhaling carcinogens for marginal speed gains. Athletes are mad they lost their chemical advantage. Nobody’s asking why it took a decade after finding 25x normal PFAS levels to do anything about it.
