Wizards of the Coast wanted to deauthorize OGL 1.0a and push creators onto OGL 1.2. More than 15,000 people answered the survey, 88% refused to publish under OGL 1.2 and 89% hated killing 1.0a. Now SRD 5.1 goes under CC-BY-4.0, which Wizards admits it “cannot alter or revoke.” The only promise the community trusted was one Wizards can’t take back.
