Spectrum-4 packs one hundred billion transistors on a 90mm die, burns 500 watts, and pushes 51Tb/sec. It works in conjunction with Nvidia’s BlueField DPUs and Nvidia’s fiber-optic transceivers. Nvidia already owns the GPU and the InfiniBand fabric for training. Now it wants the Ethernet switch too, so every dollar in the AI data center goes to one vendor.
