“This is perhaps the first time ever that generational upgrades are available in a high-performance thin and light laptop, letting you pick the improvements you want without needing to buy a full new machine.”
A year after launch, Framework sells the 12th gen Intel mainboard as a drop-in part for the laptop you already own. Every other thin laptop maker solders everything and calls a new chip a new product. The upgrade kit is the whole point. If Framework survives, the rest of the industry runs out of excuses.
