The bar codes are printed in infrared or UV-fluorescing ink, invisible to the audience. A camera reads the edge of the deck and an iPad shows the magician where every card sits, or which one is missing. It’s an open source way to know the order of a shuffled deck. Any casino security team should read the README twice.
