NASA to Launch Space Observatory That Will Map 450M Galaxies

450 million galaxies mapped in two years. Each galaxy containing billions of stars. The scale of this project is staggering. SPHEREx will create the first all-sky spectral map in near-infrared. That data will keep astronomers busy for decades.
