The CDC puts it at about 52 cases per million Pfizer doses and 56 per million Moderna doses in people 24 and under. Young men after a second Moderna shot are the highest risk. Pfizer’s long-term study of up to 500 young people starts now, almost two years after the rollout. The risk is small, and the virus is worse for the heart. The follow-up should have been planned before the shots went in arms.
