“You can gift time and give it to a friend without knowing their account number.”
A privacy VPN is selling physical activation cards through the company that knows more about your shopping than anyone. The trick is that the card breaks the link between the payment and the account. Amazon knows you bought a Mullvad card. Mullvad never learns who you are. That is a smarter design than most VPNs that ask for your email.
