“While enduringly popular and highly trafficked content, including Magic Story as well as Mark Rosewater’s Making Magic column, plus most content from the past few years, are moving to the new back-end, there are many older articles being retired.”
Wizards of the Coast moved DailyMTG to a new back end and left decades of old articles behind. Mark Rosewater’s column made the cut because it still draws traffic. Coverage of the game’s legendary moments did not. Magic turns 30 this year, and Wizards is deleting the history it sells as the game’s edge. Web pages are not “temporal in nature.” Somebody chose not to pay for them.
