GrapheneOS on mainstream hardware is the best news in mobile security in years. The project has been the gold standard for hardened Android but limited to Pixel devices. Motorola backing it with Lenovo’s enterprise muscle could finally make privacy-focused phones something normal people can buy. The real question is whether Motorola actually ships devices with GrapheneOS as the default OS or buries it in some enterprise-only SKU nobody can find.
