“In Singapore, the incident resulted in 13,000 devices being remotely wiped and saw the nation’s Education Ministry cut ties with the vendor.”
Mobile Guardian calls it “a small percentage of devices” being unenrolled. In Singapore that small percentage was 13,000 students’ iOS and ChromeOS devices, wiped from afar. The same vendor exposed names and emails of parents and staff from 127 Singaporean schools in April. Schools bought one central kill switch for every kid’s device and handed it to a company that can’t keep its own doors locked.
