“Unfortunately, because Fandom does not close wikis that have moved away, the old Fandom wiki will remain in place and continue to appear in search results.”
The editors left. Fandom keeps the old wiki, the old minecraftwiki.net and minecraft.gamepedia.com domains, and the search ranking the volunteers built. It keeps serving their work wrapped in popups, quizzes, video ads and an age gate. The new host promises one ad per page at most, and the editors now have to beg readers not to click the Fandom links.
