That statement came with an order to be in the office three days a week. In 2021 Zuckerberg said “good work can get done anywhere” and that VR would make remote work even better. The company selling remote presence in a headset now wants your body at a desk. It also just finished cutting about 21,000 jobs, and an office mandate is a cheap way to shed a few more.
