“Meta’s moderation systems routinely fail to distinguish between prohibited drug transactions and legitimate discussion of medications, including educational information and people’s firsthand experiences with healthcare.”
Meta files discussion of abortion medication under drug trafficking, then cites its Restricted Goods policy when anyone asks. That policy bans requesting pharmaceuticals, which covers almost every honest question a person has about their own prescription. Automated moderation at that scale cannot read context and Meta knows it. Deleting the posts is cheaper than staffing an appeals process that works.
