“The compounds had been selected from a computational library of 75 million candidates.”

One dose worked for up to two weeks. In mice. The molecules came out of a $27 million DARPA grant and a library of 75 million candidates, and they’re already patented and licensed to a startup called Onsero. They still have to stay off 5HT2b, the receptor behind fen-phen’s heart valve damage. Mouse results are cheap. Clinical trials are where these stories usually die.
