“In a video demonstration, the researchers position a piece of LK-99 over a magnet. One edge of the flat disk of LK-99 rises, but the other edge appears to maintain contact with the magnet.”
The Korean team says LK-99 superconducts at up to 127 °C and normal air pressure. The proof is two unreviewed arXiv papers with different author lists and a disk that only half floats. A real superconductor levitates fully and locks in place. Ranga Dias had a superconductivity paper retracted the week before, and the internet still wants to believe the next one.
