The FDA cleared Upside Foods’ chicken, but the USDA still has to inspect the plant before anyone can buy it. More than 150 companies have raised over $2.6 billion on this. It will cost several times what regular chicken costs, and launch in restaurants first. Safe is the easy part. Cheap is the part nobody has solved.
