The man got run out of Uber for a culture of harassment and legal fires, and a16z just handed him $1.7 billion. The pitch is “atoms-based computers” where CPU is manufacturing and storage is real estate. That is not a product. That is a rebranded ghost kitchen with a robotics coat of paint, and Andreessen bought it anyway because the name Kalanick still moves money.
