Software Freedom Conservancy filed almost a dozen source code requests with Deere, one per product, and many got nothing at all. The ones Deere did answer lack the build and install scripts the GPL requires. Deere happily ships free software in its tractors and keeps the part of the license that lets farmers fix them. Free code is fine with Deere. Free farmers are not.
